Honed tube is well known as hydraulic cylinder tube in many industries. This is because honed tube is ready to use for hydraulic cylinder applications without further ID processing. This product is the most important materials for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders. And as this kind of tubing is usually honed in tube inside diameter, it is known as honed ID tubing also.

Honed tube for hydraulic cylinder is made of our factory’s own cold drawn seamless tube (CDS tube), by honing process or Skiving & Roller Burnishing process.
PRODUCT STANDARD:
Our honed hydraulic cylinder tube is usually produced according to norms as ASTM A513, DIN 2391, DIN 1630, DIN 1629, EN10305-1, EN 10216-2, A 519, etc on customer’s request.
SIZE RANGE:
We manufacture honed tubes in metric dimensions and imperial dimensions, size range from I.D 30 mm to I.D 500 mm (1.5″ – 20″), Wall thickness 3 – 50 mm (1/8″ – 2″)

MAIN APPLICATIONS OF HYDRAULIC HONED TUBING
Honed tubing and SRB tubes (skived and roller burnished tubes) are mostly used as cylinder tube, such as hydraulic cylinder tube and pneumatic cylinder tubing, which are widely used for manufacturing and repairing hydraulic cylinders and pneumatic cylinders. As honed tube usually has very accuracy dimension tolerance and good surface smoothness, so this product is also used in applications where precision dimension or high smooth surface is need. ST52 honed cylinder tubes are honed tubes made of material steel grade ST52, and with standard of DIN 2391. St52 is equal to St52.3. Usually, this material of honed tubes is described as: cold drawn seamless honed tubes as per DIN2391 /ST52-BKS. BKS standards for the heat treatment for the honed tubing, which is stress relieved heat treatment. Here below is the specification of the steel ST52.

E355 honed tubes are honed cylinder tubes made of material steel grade E355, and with standard of EN 10305-1. Actually steel E355 is equal to ST52 / St52.3. Usually this materials of honed tubes are describled as: cold drawn seamless honed tubes as per EN10305-1 /E355 +SR. +SR standards for the heat treatment for the honed tubing, which is stress relieved heat treatment.

SAE 1020 cylinder tubes are honed tubes made of material steel grade SAE 1020, this steel grade is equal to Chinese steel grade 20#. Cabon steel grade SAE 1020 is a low hardness and low tensile strength alloy. Honed pipes of material SAE1020 is cheaper than ST52 honed pipes and can be used for various applications.

SAE 4140 HYDRAULIC CYLINDER BARREL TUBE
SAE 4140 honed tubes are cold drawn seamless honed tubes made of steel grade SAE4140. 4140 honed hydraulic cylinder barrel tubes usually are used for applications under high pressure & heavy duty. As the tensile strength and yield strength of SAE 4140 is very high. Steel 4140 is equal to German steel grade of 42CrMo.

Steel 4140 / 42CrMo is also an idea material for manufacturing Chrome Plated Bar. Benefit for its high yield strength and tensile strength, 4140 chrome plated bar is usually used for applications where high strength is required.
27SIMN HONED TUBE
27SiMn steel also can be used to produce honed tubing, though not as popular as ST52.3 /E355, this material of honed tubing is idea for some special applications.

20MNV6 HYDRAULIC CYLINDER TUBE
20MnV6 steel also can be used to manufacture hydraulic cylinder honed tubes. It is a carbon-manganese steel micro alloyed with vanadium, generally supplied in the black hot rolled condition with a typical tensile strength range of 600 – 790 Mpa and a high typical yield strength range of 440 – 650 Mpa. 20MnV6 honed cylinder tubes usually is used for Super high strength applications.

We only use raw materials (mother tube) made in China top quality steel maker such as TPCO, Sha-Steel, Huaigang Special Steel and so on.
