Hollow Chrome Plated Bar
Hollow chrome plated bars, also referred to as chrome plated tubes, are manufactured from cold drawn seamless tubes or hollow bars. The process involves grinding and precision polishing of the outer diameter, followed by chrome plating to a specified thickness. These bars are known for their chrome plated exterior on the OD (Outside Diameter), earning them the name chrome plated OD tubing as well.

Material: CK45, SAE1045, 4140, 4340, 4340, 42CrMo4, JIS45C, 40Cr, 20MnV6, 42CrMo, SS431, SS430,
Stainless: Steel 304/316/2205, etc.
Diameter: Φ6-500mm.
Length: Maximum 20 meters.
Salt Spray Test: Meets requirements as per request.
Chrome Layer: Minimum 20/25/30/50 Micron or as customized.
Hardness of the Chrome Layer: 850 HV (minimum) – 1150 HV.
Roughness: Ra <= 0.4um.
Straightness: <=0.2/1000.
Diameter Tolerance: ISO f7/f8/f9/h8/h9 or as requested.
Roundness: Half of the tolerance ISO f7.
Heat Treatment Type: 1) Normal (no heat treatment) 2) Q+T (Quenched + Tempered) 3) Induction Hardened.
Delivery Condition:
- Hard Chrome Piston Rod (HRC 15-20);
- Quenched & Tempered (Q+T) Rod (HRC 28-32);
- Induction Hardened Rod (HRC 55-62);
- Q+T Induction Hardened Rod (HRC 60-65).
- Corrosion Resistance: Tested in natural salt spray according to ASTM B 117 for 96 hours.
Packing: Anti-rust oil applied on rod surface, with each rod wrapped in paper roll and then placed in a wooden case.
